In Pieces

I am VERY thankful tonight for way-back machine. I thought I had lost approximately 5 years of artwork, digital design, photography and poetry due to a corrupted database. Thank you technology. In light of getting my work back here’s a poem I wrote, (that in later edits morphed into song lyrics). I’d love to team up with my Son and put music to it someday.

In Pieces
I fall to pieces
You follow me in
You give me your confessions
I wear them on my skin
I try to hide behind… this facade

In desperation you cling to
The shadows on the walls
The voices in the halls
And all that remains is the memories that fade
As you take away. You wear it on your sleeve.   The ache…

The silence,  it’s screaming. ..SCREAMING
You cling,  I scratch and claw,  trying to break free…. break in.  You won’t let me break through.  The pieces will be
All that is left of the memory.

Of me

You left me bleeding on the floor.
Always wanting less and never giving more. I won’t let you see, you can’t take the SEETHING…still bleeding….

The silence,  it’s screaming. ..SCREAMING

You cling, I scratch and claw, trying to break free…. break in.  You won’t break me.  The pieces will be,
All that is left of the memory.
